Do you think you are always open and sensitive to your surroundings? Do you believe you constantly pay attention to the energy that forever follows you? My answer would be no, at least not always. I’m not sure where the term came from but I remember my mom having eyes in the back of her head! Damn. You know what I’m talking about.
I have cousins who, when we were very young, would giggle at me because I would sit quietly and just look at everything in the room. It was funny, mostly because a giggle fest ensued. But later in life I have learned to appreciate the inquisitive nature, it’s why I enjoy wandering and observing, taking photos along the way. You find the smallest things that can make a big impact. For me, I come up with new textures and shapes for my artwork.
So, for all of you who believe you do not have a creative bone in your body, think again. Use your eyes……yes, your wandering eye, and go see what you find. To make it fun, take your small camera or phone camera and snap pictures of random things. Look up, look down, you’ll find something. This is BEING creative, being aware, using your creative eye.
So, go. Pay attention and let me know what you find.
